I am a board certified psychiatrist who specializes in the evaluation and treatment of adults with ADD. I was awarded my B.A. with honors from Princeton University, graduated from the Yale School of Medicine and, after interning at Michael Reese Hospital in Chicago, received my psychiatric training at the Yale University Department of Psychiatry. After completing my residency, I taught psychiatry full time at Yale for two years then entered private practice, continuing to teach on a part time basis.
A past President of the Connecticut Psychiatric Society, I am the author of a book and numerous articles on clinical psychiatry and am editor of the on-line medical newsletter, Medical-Intelligence. I am a Distinguished Life Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association.
Because of the large number of inquiries I receive from visitors to this site, I am not able to answer email or phone questions about diagnoses or treatment, nor am I able to suggest the names of therapists. (For the latter, try a Google or Yahoo search for: Adult ADD MD <name of your city>). However, I will answer some questions in the Question and Answer section of this site and always welcome notes from people about interesting or unusual observations or experiences they have had with their ADD symptoms or treatment.
